The Austin Air HealthMate Plus HM450 Air Purifier is designed for highly contaminated indoor environments where smoke, formaldehyde, chemicals, gases, odors, and volatile organic compounds may be present.
Its advanced four-stage filtration system combines two particle pre-filters, potassium iodide impregnated carbon, activated carbon, zeolite, and True Medical Grade HEPA filtration. This powerful combination helps remove airborne particles, wood-burning and tobacco smoke, pollen, dust, bacteria, formaldehyde, benzene, and other harmful contaminants.
The HealthMate Plus is ideal for individuals with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, existing respiratory concerns, or homes and workplaces located in areas with high particle and gas contamination. It is recommended for spaces between 1,000 and 1,500 square feet.
Under normal residential use, the filtration system is designed to last up to five years. Routine maintenance is simple and generally requires vacuuming the exterior of the unit approximately once per month.
