MANASQUAN, N.J.,  January 26, 2010 — In the management and administration of workplace wellness programs there is no "same old, same old," especially as we head into the second decade of this century.

The debate surrounding healthcare reform has focused even more attention on prevention, wellness and health promotion. More employers are supporting the growth and development of worksite wellness programs. Many health insurance companies have developed wellness programs for their employer groups.

To explore what is on the horizon for the administration and management of workplace wellness "What's Ahead for Workplace Wellness Management," a special audio webcast, has been scheduled for Thursday, February 4 at 1:30 p.m. eastern time. The program is being sponsored by the Wellness Management Information Center.

If you are responsible for the management or administration of your organization’s wellness program join with your colleagues and take a moment now to register for what promises to be a valuable management-level program.

Even in this ongoing global economic recession and its impact in most sectors, wellness programs have "held their own," despite tighter budgets. And, many are either being launched or growing.

Wellness and health promotion programs have seen greater publicity due to the increased support being put into the national agenda, a wellness program manager told us.

There has also been an increased willingness to invest in wellness programs, another wellness executive observed.
