The Wellness
Coalition America debuted a new series of educational and interactive
seminars for adults called "For the Health of It: Optimizing Wellness."
Terrie
Reeves, coalition founder and president, presented four basic steps for
achieving total body wellness during the program’s launch:
- Moving
– intentional exercise, such as going to the gym; but it also
includes daily activities like taking the stairs, carrying groceries,
walking the dog, gardening and cleaning house.
- Fueling Your Body
– the proper vitamins, minerals and nutrients provide energy;
help sustain brain power; maintain healthy hair, skin and nails; and
can also enhance mood.
- Resting – you can rest without closing your eyes by focusing on a hobby like knitting, reading, journaling and meditating.
- Maintaining Your Body – proactively schedule check-ups with your primary care physician and follow his or her recommendations.
The coalition
launched the seminar series as part of its ongoing commitment to
provide wellness educational materials and programming for all segments
fo the community. "For the Health of It," the coalition’s newest
community outreach program, is being offered to corporations and
community groups throughout the greater Charlotte area.
