Wellness Programs Increase Employee Loyalty

Sixty-five
percent of workers say that their loyalty to employers would be
improved or significantly improved by having a wellness program
available to them, according to a poll by LifeCare Inc.
Thirty-five
percent said that a wellness program would have no effect on their
loyalty.
The
poll also asked participants to identify the issue they most wanted
wellness programs to address. Their responses were:
- Stress
management – 33 percent
- Diet
and nutrition – 23 percent
- Exercise
and fitness – 20 percent
- Brain
health – 12 percent
- Tobacco
cessation – 4 percent
- Other
– 8 percent
"Other" responses included: finances, depression, arthritis and special
needs children.
The
poll was
conducted on LifeCare’s private Web site, where employees of
LifeCare’s 1,500 client organizations were invited to
respond.
